Book Donations
Donations of Material
We will not accept material donations from November 1 to April 1. Any book donations should be placed in the green Better World Books bin by the Main Library garage entrance on the United Way-Library common drive.
The Library accepts donation of:
- new-looking hardcover, trade and paperback books (both children’s and adult books)
- DVDs in original case
- CDs in original case
- audio-books on CD
The Library does not accept tattered or dirty items. It also does not accept:
- encyclopedias
- dictionaries
- computer books or software
- text books
- magazines
- audio cassettes
- vinyl records
- video cassettes
Donations may be added to the library collection, placed in the library book sale or disposed of at the discretion of the library. Donations left outside the building will be disposed of. Please do not place donations in the library book return bins.
Donations are accepted through the Main Library:
- Circulation Desk: Monday – Friday, 10am – 5pm
- On evenings and weekends, donations should be placed in the green Better World Books bin by the Main Library garage entrance on the United Way-Library common drive. Donations left outside of the bin must be disposed of.
Donors giving material to the library (but not the Better World Books bin) receive an acknowledgment letter.
