Love Our Earth: Earth Day at MPL 2019

Celebrate Earth Day every day by using your local library!

Borrowing from a library’s circulating collection of books, media, and other items helps to cut down on waste. When you borrow from your library, you are helping reduce the need for new items to be mass-produced, packaged, and transported, all of which requires the consumption of resources such as paper, electricity, plastic, and gasoline. “Reduce, reuse, and recycle” becomes “reread, renew, and return” at the library. In addition to providing physical items that are constantly being shared among the community, libraries also now offer many digital alternatives. Visit for a selection of e-books, e-audiobooks, e-magazines, streaming music and films.
