10:15 am | T'ai Chi and TeaT'ai chi ch'uan is an ancient Chinese martial and healing art. Most obviously characterized by the slow motion manner in which its choreographed movement patterns are carried out, T'ai chi ch'uan is more accurately defined by its attention to correct body alignment and structural detail. T'ai chi ch'uan principles apply globally to walking, martial application, bodywork, or any other activity for which economy of motion and efficiency of effort are desired. Each class will begin with a warm-up session designed to limber up the body and promote flexibility of all connective tissue, and will include Chi Gung (Energy Arts) exercises. $3-$5 free per class. Scholarship available.
After each class, enjoy a cup of healthy and delicious tea. Tea specialist and Terra owner Grace Grund will share a different variety each week and educate participants about that tea.
Taught by Donald Madson, certified by the Kung Fu Academy of New Jersey.
