Libraries are driving a new era of eBook discovery for indie authors and small presses. BiblioBoard and Indie Author Project help develop robust local writing communities and keep libraries at the center of the indie book movement.

Check out these platforms to discover eBooks written by NJ authors and to submit your work! We even subscribe to a service called Pressbooks that helps writers create and design a professional quality eBook and print version!

BiblioBoard includes an Indie New Jersey module filled with eBooks written by local New Jersey authors. App available via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. You must have a valid MPL library card or be physically located in Montclair with location services enabled on your device to access BiblioBoard.

Indie Author Project

This collection of indie books is sure to excite readers of every taste. Carefully selected by Library Journal, these books represent the very best submissions through the innovative Indie Author Project. Genres include romance, mystery, science fiction, fantasy, and so much more. The Indie Author Project (IAP) is a publishing community that includes public libraries, authors, curators, and readers working together to connect library patrons with great indie-published books. Pressbooks is an easy-to-use online tool that allows you to create professional quality versions of your book in ePUB, MOBI, PDF and more! For assistance in using the platform, check out this video and print guide. You must have a valid MPL library card to access Pressbooks.
