JoAnn McCullough Appointed to the Montclair Public Library Board of Trustees Published on: April 17, 2017
The Montclair Public Library Board of Trustees today announced the appointment of JoAnn McCullough as a member of the board by Mayor Robert Jackson. McCullough will be sworn in at the Board of Trustees regularly scheduled meeting Monday, April 24, 2017 at 7:30pm in the first floor auditorium, Main Library, 50 South Fullerton Avenue, Montclair, NJ 07042.
JoAnn McCullough has been Executive Director of IMANI since its inception in 1999. A passionate advocate for improving minority student achievement, McCullough has been instrumental in securing foundation and community support for innovative programs that encourage students of color to enroll in more challenging classes and provide the support they need to succeed academically. McCullough is a past president of the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence and currently serves on the board of the Montclair Film Festival as well as a liaison to the Montclair PTA Council.
Founded in 1893, Montclair Public Library serves the residents of Montclair Township, New Jersey from the Main Library and the historic Bellevue Avenue Branch. Over 75% of residents hold Library cards and check out over 440,000 items annually. Montclair Public Library is a member of BCCLS, a cooperative of 77 member libraries in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Passaic Counties.
