Groups at Your Library

In addition to the groups below, MPL is home to The Write Group and hosts several book discussion groups.

Bridge Group
All ages and skill levels are welcome to play Bridge, every Tuesday afternoon from 12-4 pm in the Main Library’s Conference Room. This is a drop-in group. No registration is required.

Chess Group
All ages and skill levels are welcome to play Chess, on Saturday afternoons from 2-4 pm in the Senior Space at the Main Library. This is a drop-in group. No registration is required.

Current Events Discussion Group
All ages and beliefs are welcome to join the discussion on Wednesday mornings from 11 am-1 pm in the Isabel Rose Café at the Main Library. This is a drop-in group. No registration is required.

English Conversation Group
The English Conversation Group meets every Tuesday from 7 to 8pm in the Main Library’s Conference Room. This is not an ESOL class, rather an informal group conversation aimed at improving your English speaking skills. Knitting Group
Come and knit or crochet with friends every Wednesday evening from 7–9 pm in the Isabel Rose Café at the Main Library. All ages and skill levels are welcome. This is NOT a knitting class; no instruction is provided although attendees are more than willing to help each other if problems are encountered. This is a drop-in group. No registration is required.
