Japanese Anime, Manga, Science Fiction, and Robots
Erik Jacobson (Montclair State University) discusses the portrayal of robots and intelligent machines in Japanese animated movies (anime), popular science fiction, and comics. Robots such as Tetsujin 28, Astro Boy and Giant Robo have often been cast as heroes or beneficent beings in Japanese literature and films.
This event includes cosplay in partnership with Eastside Mags.
