Open Book/Open Mind: Elizabeth Alexander on The Light of the World
Alexander is best known as the poet who read “Praise Song for the Day” at President Obama’s first inauguration. Tonight she discusses her first memoir, a story of art, food, love and loss, with her friend, Montclair’s James Johnson. The book is a tribute to Alexander’s late husband, the chef and artist Ficre Ghebreyesus.
