Fourth Annual African American Read-In

Date: Thu, 02/13/2020
Time: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Location: Main Library - Auditorium
Categories: Adult Events

We invite everyone to celebrate African American authors by participating in an African American Read-In! Choose your favorite passage from a book, poem, or speech by an African American and sign up to read your chosen piece aloud. Join us as we come together to read, hear, and shine a spotlight on African American literature.

About the African American Read-In:

Sponsored by the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and endorsed by the International Literacy Association, the goal of the African American Read-In is to document readers making the celebration of African American literacy a traditional part of Black History Month activities.
