These databases are free to Montclair Public Library cardholders and can be accessed in the library or wherever an Internet connection can be found. All you need is your library card and pin number to get started! Browse around on your own or stop by the Library for a demonstration. Here are some databases that you might particularly useful: Learning Express Library: This website contains practice tests to assess and sharpen your skills in Reading, Writing & Math. Subjects are arranged by grade level beginning at fourth grade. There are also tests to help high school students prepare for college entrance exams. Facts on File: Facts on File is a great resource for homework assignments and other school projects for students in grades six through high school. There is a heavy focus on history; other database topics include science, health and Harold Bloom’s Literary Criticisms. There is also a world atlas with printable maps. Many articles include photographs and videos. Grolier Online: You have several of our most popular reference books at your fingertips with this informative database. Head here for access to the Encyclopedia Americana, American Heritage Dictionary, Roget's Thesaurus, and the World Atlas Online. The following databases are provided by BCCLS. You'll find not only reference books and encyclopedias that address your topic, but also magazine and newspaper articles, radio and TV news transcripts, country/state/province fact sheets, photos, maps, flags, and more!
